Public awareness and knowledge of what is happening only a few miles south of the United States border are important steps in the education of femicides. Because these murders are occurring in the context of, at best, government neglect, exposing the truth behind femicides remains extremely important. For those who already know about the femicides in Juárez, this website hopefully lays the groundwork for a more in-depth and nuanced study of gender violence within Mexico. For those who did not know what a femicide was before reading this website, hopefully it provides a substantial understanding of the many problems that when intertwined, create the possibility of endemic violence like these femicides. Most importantly, I hope this website not only enlightens, but provokes an outrage that can only be quelled by action.
